I thought this was a fun class. I did make me a little more a aware of “the media”.
I don’t think there’s anything Wrong with culture spying.
It forces people to change and to grow and sometimes to think.
I don’t think Samantha is going to efect people very much.
But, it was fun all the same.
haha.
Bye, bye, Culture spy.

i think think this study is cool just because i’d never thought about culture spies before. but at the same time i disagree with a lot of the ideas other kids had. i think media, pr, and culture spies are entirely nessisary and should not be “stopped”, which is honestly, not even possible. my favorite part of the class was our discussions, because i love group dicussions. (:
and no, i will not think about things differently when i’m shopping, i’ll buy what i want, i could care less if the media influenced my purchases.

(Poster1) This poster is showing how the “rich get richer.” When you buy what you see celebrities wearing, your not just paying the company. Those celebrities get a percentage of that money. (poster2) Celebrities get their style from everyday people like you and I. This poster shows that Celebs aren’t the only ones being watched for what their wearing.(poster3) If you want to help show what the media is about visit culturespy.net. Join now to help make a difference.(^_^)

www.myspace.com/culturespyemo
^^
this is the myspace we made for “Samantha”, which basically has a lot of pictures and videos of or about “emos”.
this page kind of depicts culture spying in that there are a whole bunch of “deffinations” and “newscasts” of “emo” and a lot of them have false info. which is the same for a lot of things. because the media displays nothing truthfully.
we made this website because it’s annoying how people pretend they know what they’re talking about when they do not. at all. but i guess the site failed at displaying that because the website only shows videos and deffinations from other people. so we’re only showing other peoples point of views, even when they’re wrong. but i think it’s hard to correct these stereotypes because it’s hard to define such a vast subject and easy to simpily point out that they’re wrong. which they are lol.

today we were talking about culture spying. i think a lot of kids are against it but to be honest, i think it’s entirely nessisary. everything in our sociaty is taken further and further and it’s the reason we’re so advanced. our entire culture has been pushed to extremes. which is entirely good. styles should change constantly, just like people do. media spying on us is not a bad thing, it’s just how things are.

I was thinking just thoughts about the media, and how they been looking to me through my eyes.
I see changing for the better, people upgrading their styles to a “better look” blacker black, and shinier metals,
more colors, more you, trendsetters are different people with different privilleges most of the time. Open eyes, open ears, open minds, are the keys to getting ahead. Like i said, these are just my thoughts, I strongly am opionated, not argumental in that way, just strongly opionated. I think media is trying to give an okay to be smart, while people are just being. While being themselves, setting their own, comfortable is cool, plus idont know why people would wear painful shoes uless they had to. Some people love their colors as for those who love their darks or thier nuturals. It’sall good with me, I still think they’ve shown improvement in the past 2 yaers aor so.
The better change…

Yes. The edia dresses celebrities like you as an advertising gig. When they wear it we buy it. When we wear it the advertise it. Its cycle that we cant help. Personally i take it as a compliment
