Bye :(

The class was really fun. I’m sad it was over and that I missed soo many days. The first days were sort of tedious, but it steadily got really exciting and entertaining. The people here are really nice, espescially the teachers. Steve, Nick, and John (I finally learned their names). The discussions were…entertaining, but I never participated any of them. I didn’t agree with all the responses to the topics we discussed, but I didn’t really feel like responding either. That makes me sound sloth-like. Being on the computer and using photoshop was exciting because I don’t have it. I so wish I could afford it, but I have some knock off version of it, which really isnt close to anything that photoshop offers. It’s too bad I won’t be here for the exhibit, I’m going out of town… to Africa. Don’t worry, I’ll bring all you guys back giraffes.

Work in progress. There are famous singers and actresses who are known to dress the best - and a few models who have already made it to the top. I think that the models and actresses are the ones who push the new trends that the marketers hand them. If we see someone that we like as an actress or singer in a really nice outfit, we’re going to be like “oh, that’s cute. that looks good on her.” And ultimately we will think it’ll look good on us too. My poster is about The Marketers- spies or thieves? Are they simply spying on the teen nation to capture what we are like or to simply steal our style? Tom Cruise or Robinhood? Or both? I made it because I’ve seen alot of pictures on the internet that interested me, like collages - also graphic designing is really fun, haha. It took a few minutes to come up with an idea, but when i started on it it was cool. It says that the ’stars’ project the new fashions that the marketers originally get from us.

Hah, it was fun! I’m sad that today is my last day.>.>Well I almost finished my project but I still have some blending to do. And I’m getting good at photoshop-I’ll never be able to use Illustrator again, haha. The internet was loading painfully slow today, but the day went by painfully fast. I was hoping the day would go slower than  usual because I know I have alot of work to do on the project, but whatever I guess. :( I really like this class, maybe I’ll take it next year if its offered. The teachers are cool:D Even though I can’t remember their names ^___^

Today :)

Posted by beautifullogic on July 15, 2008

Today was pretty fun. I liked the photoshop part-it looks so different on this server. And it’s annoyingly confusing, but whatever, right? Haha. I was searching the net for fashion photos which is pretty boring -seeing as I couldnt find any AT ALL. Well at least not the ones I wanted to. I think I’ll do celebrities because they have alot of fansites who offer pictures. Like Hannahbeth of audrey kitching, maybe even Marilyn Monroe. I might do a fashion through the ages type of thing. I’m glad I didn’t drop this class,it’s fun. I’m just sad that I won’t get to come Thursday and Friday. =/

Teen style >.>

Posted by beautifullogic on July 10, 2008

I saw alot of clothes today online that made me wish I had a credit card - others not so much. I mean, high waisted khaki pants? Who wears those? Anyway we had a long discussion today which made me seriously hungry. It was very productive. We talked about teens creating their own styles and if they actually can create their own style. And what emo is - which actually doesn’t have a real definition. But what I define is a somewhat depressed person who is OVERLY EMOTIONAL and who wants to create their own style. And I saw some hideous styles on Teen Vogue - bell bottoms, the grande ones - will not be back in. Oh but I saw some cute hairstyles: bed hair and a pixie cut. Pixie cuts are really cute. I still don’t know what dandy caps are though.

Mission Impossible.

Posted by beautifullogic on July 9, 2008

It was actually much more fun than I expected, it wasn’t impossible and it wasn’t that hard either. even though we got rejected like three times! we enterviewed four people and it was pretty fun. I met someone from China and Sweden, they had really cute accents. Some were nice, others were… ugh, no comment. I asked around five comments and was very cordial about it, even though it was really hot - I just wanted air conditioning at the moment. Alot of people like the Gap and Forever 21 - the feelings mutual, but I didn’t think it was that popular.  At first Esmeralda and I were a tad apprehensive, but when we got into it was alot of fun! We hung around the water tower alot which got us loads of people - oh and Victoria’s Secret. I wish I had brought some moeny along. lol Oh and we passed like three Starbucks, made me want some bad. x]

It’s fun so far :) I just don’t like waking up at 7 AM to get dress and leave, I want my sleep. I didn’t get to record one of my friends, I didn’t have time. >.> And most of them are off on vacation so go figure. As soon as I got home I went to sleep for three hours. So of course I didn’t get any sleep last night either. Oh well. But, teen style is confusing. I’d rather go with what I like to wear and what makes me comfortable than “what’s new“. Though, I didn’t really know that people go and spy on teens - kind of weird. But it explains how they come up with the type of clothes we like - even if they are way overpriced. The camcorder that I get to use is cute though. I wonder where you could buy them from. lol I really want to get out of class and go to McDonalds. I know that’s really bad, but whatever.
